Amélie has heavily pierced ears and a few tattoos that run from her bicep to half her chest. The tattoos themselves are interwoven intricately and feature all the little things she's that have strongly interested her and/or have had an impact on her life. Among these are animals, instruments, books, nature, and many others. These depictions are small, but visible if one focuses enough. If she's working, her tattoos are usually covered up and her earrings are a lot less intricate.
Appearance:
When at work Amélie can be seen wearing dark-colored scrubs with a long-sleeved shirt underneath and a pair of white sneakers that double as her running shoes. Otherwise, she'll usually sport a look that's more on the edgier side of fashion. Leather jackets, tight jeans, heels or boots, studs, dark baggy clothing, among others, is right up her alley. She'll usually wear these in different, although dark, colors so her scheme isn't as dark as one might think. The same goes for her make up choice. Although she'll be more prone to barely wearing any anything when working, out of work a slightly darker palette is preferable when doing her face. That is, if she's feeling up for it, of course.
She has a rather lean frame as she opts to work out most days, but not enough to keep off some of the fluff from her binging. On her arms, a few scars are noticeable from her struggles with more rowdy animals. She keeps her hair short, just a little underneath her ear, and dyed blonde as her natural hair is actually very dark. However, it isn't noticeable that her hair is dyed as she's always keeping an eye out for it. Her eyes are a hazel color.

Expand the clinic -
Amélie would like to be able to expand her clinic by adding an adoption area, a grooming area, and maybe even bigger facilities to handle larger animals that may need to be hospitalized.
Pay off her loans -
Studying to be a veterinarian has left her with some dues. Because of this, she owes quite some money especially as she's still early in her career.
Make friends -
All her life Amélie has been short on friends she actually considers close. They've always come and gone as quickly as she welcomed them to her life and she would like a chance to find stable, trusting friendships. And, who knows, maybe even find someone that goes deeper than a friend?
Personality:
Always the lively sort, Amélie makes it seem like there’s nothing in the world that can bring her down. She’s a real go-getter – always willing to please others and do whatever it takes to see them smile – and always ready to get down and dirty with anything anyone asks of her. However, those that should ask for her help should beware. Amélie may be great with animals and medicine but outside from that she’s a walking disaster. Her enthusiasm may be contagious, but her clumsiness and inability to take a hint can easily turn annoying. You could say she’s helpful to an unhelpful fault… but at least she’ll get things done! Somehow.
Her liveliness comes packed with a few quirks. The main one being that she can talk your ear off about anything and everything. You’d think she loves making conversation but, in reality, it’s all to stave off any silence. Amélie doesn’t do good with awkward silences or just silence in general as it makes her incredibly uncomfortable. Because of this, you’ll usually see her listening to music one way or another. Another quirk is that she loves a good party or just inviting people out to do things. She's also the type to get an idea in her head that may or may not be fun and just rolling with it immediately.
She can come off as kind of obnoxious at times with all her talking, especially because she loves teasing people whenever she gets the chance. Playful teases mostly, they’re not meant to hurt or provoke but to mostly poke fun at little things; maybe even be a bit flirtatious. She doesn’t mean bad, but it does happen that people can take her words the wrong way and she’ll be deeply sorry if such a thing happens. Flirting-wise, she’ll take the chance whenever it presents itself though she’s so self-aware that she becomes embarrassed by her own behavior.
Amélie is holds respecting other very highly and will easily grow a temper around others who are toxic or overtly rude on purpose. She’s explosive, ready to stop any wrong doings as soon as she notices them. She especially hates liars and because of this is honest to a fault.
Her explosive nature and willingness to take action is kind of ironic considering she’s a huge scaredy-cat. She loves horror stories and media and the spooks that come with them. Anything in that involves the occult will interest her a ton but will also scare the crap out of her, though she’ll put on a brave front around others.
Her cheery and headfirst persona is really her attempts at making friends. Amélie is the lonely sort: never really having had any close friends as she grew. And she very much fears falling on people’s bad sides. It’s the reason why she’s so uncomfortable in silence. It makes her feel lonely, so she’d rather make her own noise in an attempt to suppress it.

History:
Born to a not very wealthy family in France, Amélie has spent most of her days working nd studying hard just to achieve and attain the things she wants in life. This has left her somewhat stunted in the friendship field as she's never really had enough time to focus on building relationships. Instead, she was all about fast friends and even faster lovers who came and went as they pleased. So it may have seemed like the popular type at some undecided point in her life but really it had all been superficial. It had been fun - the parties, the outings - but it had never meant much in the grand scheme of things. Though, on the bright side, it did leave her with many stories to tell. Aside from that, her only real friends were strays she would pick up along the way and to whom she would play songs to on her cheap guitar.
Spurred on by the sickness and eventual death of her guinea pig named Butters (whom she considered her best friend throughout her early life), she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Her dream was further cemented throughout her university years as her courses took her everywhere from farms to clinics. She enjoyed animals, found acceptance within them as she had throughout her life, and worked herself to the bone just to be able to afford internships in different fields. Although her college years were fulfilling, they were also the most isolating. She was away from home constantly and the times she did get out it was to drink with a few acquaintances and that was that. From this she picked up a slight drinking problem that spills out every-so-often as she tends to overdue it.
All throughout she thankfully had her family to support her and lift her spirits even if they weren't there physically. It was them who suggested she move to Tranquil Island a few months after Amélie's graduation in hopes of her being able to start anew and live a peaceful life. Also because the Tranquil Island clinic was much cheaper than whatever they had in France, but who's judging? Currently, it's been around two weeks after she's moved in and she's still setting things up...
