[attr="class","draconimg"] ♛ Spring 1st { Late Morning, Sunny} Dracon and his sister had made the walk from their Lakeside Farm to the village center on the island. The concept of freedom was still a foreign feeling to him and it was reminiscent of their high school adolescence. The open world, rolling grass plains, and crashing waves of the ocean were all experiences stripped of them for the past three years. The Orphanage hadn’t been a kind place, yet neither of the twins had ever really known kind. His parents’ dead corpses flashed through his mind; a memory of the viewing at the funeral and the hollow, absent look on his face as he stared down at them. He could vividly recall the ice burning through his veins and the twist of satisfaction that quirked his lips upward in the slightest of manners. Everything was their fault. Every trauma, every misery that they had ever faced… all came from the roots of those two worthless human beings. It was the only real emotion that he felt, the closest thing to being alive. @desdemona ♥ [googlefont="Playfair Display"][newclass=".draconimg img"]object-fit: cover;[/newclass]

Tranquil Island was smaller than she imagined, there were houses spread out all over the area and simply put it looked like a ghost town. The Mayor had mentioned troubles on the horizon and she wondered if that was what she meant. It would do them no good to make a home out of a place going bankrupt. It was something she would need to talk to her brother about later. But for now, they were venturing to the general store in order to purchase the goods needed to start their farm. Growing their own food was completely new to the twins, but if they could master the skill then it would surely benefit them. Desdemona allowed her brother to open the door for her before they stepped into the general store. She could smell the fresh sent of soil and seeds. Carefully she dipped her hands into one of the bags and watched the way the tiny vessels of life slipped through her finger tips. "Which of these should we buy?" She asked turning her pale eyes to her twin. HOVER FOR DESCRIPTION, CLICK FOR LARGER IMAGE OOC SPOILERThanks for staring this!

[attr="class","draconimg"] ♛ Spring 1st { Late Morning, Sunny} The two approached the modest and quaint shop labeled General Store and his sister paused beside the door, waiting for him to open it. The action by this point came as a second nature to him. He held the door open and then ventured inside after her, his ears catching the sound of the doorbell chiming above their heads. Tranquil Island was much different from the city they had grown up in. But, it was so far away from civilization and harbored such a small population that Dracon felt it would be beneficial to them. It would not be overwhelming and it would give them the opportunity to grow and learn at their own pace. Dracon’s icy eyes fell to the sack of seeds as Desdemona sifted her fingers through them. “Which of these should we buy?”He studied the signs. Turnip and Strawberry; 2 days to harvest. Potato; 4 days. Cucumber, 3. Cabbage 5. His mind ran over the calculations next, and then compared those numbers to the quantity of harvests. “Cabbage is the most profitable.” He summarized. “Followed by Turnips. I would suggest those.”@desdemona ♥ [googlefont="Playfair Display"][newclass=".draconimg img"]object-fit: cover;[/newclass]

Dracon silently studied the seeds and she merely watched him as she laced her fingers behind her back and tilted her head to the side. When he answered she looked to the seeds mentioned, but her eyes snagged on the lush red symbol of a strawberry. It would have been nice to farm fresh strawberries. But they did not have the luxury to waste their money on things that they couldn't profit from. "Very well, cabbages and turnips it is," she told Dracon and moved to begin packaging what they needed. "How many of each?" She asked and despite her dainty appearance she didn't seem to mind any hard work that was required of her. HOVER FOR DESCRIPTION, CLICK FOR LARGER IMAGE

[attr="class","draconimg"] ♛ Spring 1st { Late Morning, Sunny} Dracon went over the pricing, envisioning the numbers in his mind. “Two Cabbage and two Turnip.” He decided, allowing his sister to pick out the designated seed sacks. The two spent some time also gathering enough groceries to last them for the week. Fifteen or so minutes later, with a basket full of supplies, they approached the till of the small store. The last thing to be checked out were the four seed sacks Desdemona had picked out earlier. With the already purchased groceries set off to one side, Dracon drew his wallet from the front pocket of his black jeans to sift through the paper bills inside, waiting for the amount due from the cashier. purchasing some seeds [googlefont="Playfair Display"][newclass=".draconimg img"]object-fit: cover;[/newclass]

As with most other placed on Tranquil Island, the general store hadn't seen much 'action' in quite some time. Today seemed to be an eye opening day for many as Zach watched two new townsfolk enter the store. Similar in features, he pinned them for siblings and a light bulb went off in his head. The mayor had said a pair of twins was coming to take over one of the farmland properties - this must be them! Even more determining, they selected some vegetable seeds which they would only be purchasing if they had land. The male spoke and set 4 packages of seeds on the counter: two turnip and two cabbage. Zach smiled and quickly ran them up on the register. "Yes of course. That will be a total of 1,100G please." DATE: Spring 1 || TAGS: @desdemona || WORDS: 133

The employee stood before them a smile on his face as his hands carefully calculated each and every item. Desdemona tilted her head and stared at him never blinking or looking away. She could see his name was Zach from the nametag on his general store outfit. He had vacant looking eyes that matched hers and brothers but a smile that did not. He was quick and good at his job and soon the pricing was given. Dracon's sister didn't hesitate to move towards the bagged food and seeds. She then began collecting almost everything, nearly tipping over in the process, but her twin was quick to rescue her by taking some of the weight himself. "Thank you, sir," she told him with another dainty bow before turning to take her leave. But again she paused at the door unconsciously waiting for her twin to opened it. Once he did she stepped outside and the two began the process of going home. It would be hard to walk the whole way with all their grocery bags, but it was the best method they had for now. [attr="class","draconimg"] ♛ Spring 1st { Late Morning, Sunny} Dracon handed the appropriate amount of gold over to the cashier, whom he hadn’t bothered to spy the name of as his sister had. Without so much as a word, he ventured forward to place a hand against Desdemona’s back and right her balance, reaching to remove two bags of groceries from her already full hands. While Dracon moved to the exit, his sister thanked the cashier and then joined him as he held the door open for her to leave. His bored expression moved beyond her and toward the sunlight glistening over the land of the island. It was… peaceful. Quiet. Interesting. Purchase Complete!
